Bayview Ministries

We intend to fulfill the Great Commission by ensuring our members serve
in one or more of the many areas of ministries offered at Bayview.

Drama

To minster and glorify God’s word by bringing storytelling, spoken word, acting, dancing, and singing together center stage in God’s house.

Expressions of Praise

To teach children age-appropriate songs about Jesus and the Word of God and to offer praise to God through song. eoj@bayviewbc.org

Graceful Praise

To encourage and uplift God’s people while conveying His Message through expressive movements of the body and the emotional and spiritual connection of the soul, all made possible by the direction of the Holy Spirit.

Hospitality

Hospitality serves as the greeters of the church. We are the first or second face people see when they come to worship with us. We strive to create a warm friendly greeting environment to everyone.

The PIT

Provide professional aesthetically pleasing communications through video and sound. Responsible for communicating information through dynamic visuals and sound for Worship, Presentations, Dramas and other forms of service.

Ushers Ministry

We are to serve and demonstrate God’s commission to us, to prayerfully promote an atmosphere where all those entering the church will feel welcomed, and to meet the needs of the congregation during service and to keep distractions to a minimum.

Bayview Women

Bayview Women: Bayview Women aims to welcome women with open arms, connect them to God and others, equip them to live out God’s purpose for their lives, and send them out to share Christ’s love with their communities and the world.

Man Up

The Bayview Baptist Church Man Up Ministry challenges our men to step up with purposeful strength and courage to say “as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” We support, train, encourage, and motivate men to impact their families, friends, and their community for the cause of Christ.

Scholarship

To increase access to higher educational opportunities for Bayview members and members of the San Diego community who do not have financial means to fulfil their educational goals so they, in turn after completing their degree will make positive contributions to Bayview and/or their communities.

The Garden

Known as “The Garden Where Children Grow” –Children grow to become more like Jesus through bible based teaching and a fun worship experience on their level. We welcome ALL children from ages 2-12.

Baptism Team

To help celebrate with people desiring to take the obedient step of demonstrating their faith in Jesus through baptism.

Net Team

New Member Enlistment Team provides assistance to all new members that have decided to become a part of the Bayview Family

Bayview Security

Safety and Security Ministry: We manage and effect a safe, secure and welcoming praise and worship environment on which the people of God can rely.

Community Concerns

To provide information to the congregation on community issues and community events that may impact their lives. We strive to keep the congregation aware of community, civic, and political matters and help members navigate civic and community resources.

Transportation Ministry

To provide assistance to people attending services on the weekend to get from the parking lots to the Worship Center.

Health Ministry

To help those in need and to give quality health information. To promote health and well-being of adults, children through education and health promotion.

Culinary

Giving leadership to a large group of men and women providing food service and food preparation.

Money Sense

Acknowledging that money is the least blessing, we share God's financial principles in handling finances with adults, teens, and families, teaching practical ways to apply them for more abundant living.

RE3

The RE3 Ministry at Bayview Church produces trained and compassionate counselors and support group leaders who facilitate a free service for individuals seeking spiritual guidance for a variety of issues including but not limited to, marital and family relationships, communication and intimacy, parenting, grief and loss, anger and bitterness, inner personal struggles, mental health difficulties, and spiritual discouragement.

S.H.A.P.E.

Here at Bayview, every member of our church is a minister. That is what C.L.A.S.S. 301 is all about. It is an exciting, fast-paced morning, designed to help you further discover your S.H.A.P.E. and how God will use you for ministry at Bayview. The prerequisite is completion of C.L.A.S.S. 101 AND 201.

IMPACT

To foster an atmosphere of fellowship and Bible study that builds healthy relationships by connecting people and community in a safe place.

Agape

A faith-based ministry designed to eliminate recidivism by advocating for women and children whose lives have been affected by incarceration and social barriers by providing opportunities that lead to self-sufficiency, education, sustainability, and employment.

Christian Closet Boutique

To passionately serve the church body and community by emulating the heart of Jesus in a way that impacts or transforms the body, mind and spirit through providing free clothing and accessories.

GetFIT Volunteer

Get FIT (Faithfully and Intentionally Transformed) are our spiritual growth and maturity classes, designed to give our congregation some stepping stones as they walk through life with Christ. Classes 101 through 401 are an integral part of our foundation to teach people how to love Christ and how to love others.

Daily Bread Marketplace

The DBM serves those who are at an economic disadvantage and those who may experience food insecurity and are in need of additional food resources. Though the DBM does not fully resolve these issues however, it will provide relief to some. It is critical that the DBM provide a food shopping experience that enables those being served to retain a sense of dignity.

The Bridge

The Bridge teen ministry consists of students aged 13-18. We exist to REACH non-believing students, CONNECT them to other Christians, to help them GROW in their faith, and to challenge the growing to DISCOVER their ministry and to HONOR God with all their life.”

Expressions of Joy

Expressions of Joy (EOJ) exists to encourage children aged 4-12 to worship the Lord through music and to teach children the blessings of serving the Lord through music. We are committed to exposing your child to the Gospel though music and helping him/her grow in expressing their worship through music. Rehearsals are Thursdays at 7pm. CTG

We are a youth and young adult choir ranging in age from 14-35. Our mission is to encourage the congregation to join us in lifting the name of Jesus through songs of worship and praise. CTG is an entry-level choir that helps its members develop their voices and sharpen their musical skills. Auditions are not required.

L.I.V.E.

L.I.V.E.'s purpose is to help others Live In Victory Everyday (L.I.V.E.) through education, personal works, and action, along with trusting and believing in Jesus Christ. We want to increase the overall wellness of members within the church so that everyone may be able to healthily contribute to building His kingdom.

Engage Ministry

Young adults between the ages 18-35 who prime and cultivate leaders within the church and outside the sanctuary.

GriefShare

GriefShare support groups are led by Christians who understand what you are going through and want to help. You’ll gain access to valuable GriefShare resources to help you recover from your loss and look forward to rebuilding your life.

Christian Counseling

Mental Health Grace Groups

Bayview offers Christ-Centered 16-Week Mental Health Support Groups called Grace Groups. Living Grace is for those who struggle day-to-day with a diagnosed or undiagnosed Mental Illness. Family Grace is for those who support or know of someone who struggles with a diagnosed or undiagnosed Mental Illness and wish to gain knowledge and support for themselves as to how to better support their loved one.
