Studies in Christian Living
(Formerly Church School)
Study to show thyself unto God a workman that needs not to be ashamed, but rightly diving the Word of Truth – 2 Tim. 2:15
Our Vision
To strengthen believers in the Word of God so that we can serve others as Christ so served the world.
Our Objective
To offer our students a broad selection of biblically based classes that are designed to help us grow more like Christ as we learn about God and how He wants us to live and impact our home, communities, cities, and ultimately, the world.
Our Mission
To equip the body of Christ with biblical resources and study skills that will help us understand God’s Word and then apply those principles to our life.
Our Values
The SICL Department is a Bible-based, Christ-centered ministry whose core values include belief that Jesus Christ is the one and only Son of God and that through his death and resurrection, we are saved from our sins, that we can never lose our salvation, and that our salvation is solely through God’s grace. We desire to influence the student in four ways:
- HEAD: (Bible Teacher Training) –- where our focus is on disseminating relevant and practical information to our students that they can use daily to help their faith to grow in Christ.
- HEART: (Studies in Christian Living) –- where our focus is on touching lives of our students with sincerity, honesty and compassion.
- HAND (Workshops and Seminars) -– where our focus is on applying age-appropriate teaching methods and practical group exercises that students can use in-class as well as outside the classroom to help them grasp the central meaning of a biblical principle.
- HOME (Servant Leadership) – where our focus is on taking what we have learned in class to impact our home and influence our friends with the truth of God’s Word.
What are our Studies in Christian Living classes?
